During an Indian Community event in France, PM Modi stated that the French footballer Kylian Mbappe is more famous in India than in France.

Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India, is currently attending an Indian Community event in France. He made a reference to Kylian Mbappe, the captain of the French football team when addressing the crowd at this occasion in France. Speaking about Mbappe’s appreciation among Indian football fans, Modi emphasised the popularity of football in India. The Indian PM continued by claiming that Mbappe is more loved in India than in France.

Mbappe has made all the correct moves in the world of football by showcasing his abilities in the French League and on the international stage for France. The world took note and gaped in amazement at Mbappe’s magic that he produced on the football pitch when he raced like the wind and scored a blistering hat trick against Argentina on the night of the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar. But Argentina prevailed 4-2 on penalties in a tense finale.

Indian PM Narendra Modi landed in France on Thursday ahead of his two-day official visit. Modi was escorted at the airport and he was given a ceremonial welcome and also greeted by the French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. French PM Elisabeth Borne put out a tweet saying, “Welcome to Paris @narendramodi. As we celebrate 25 years of our strategic partnership, let’s continue to deepen cooperation between France and India for ecological transition, education and culture.”

The Indian community in France welcomed Modi with open arms when he landed there. At the Senate building, Modi also met with Gerard Larcher, president of the French Senate. Regarding Mbappe, he is best renowned for his football skills in terms of dribbling, finishing, and pace. Mbappe also advanced fast through the ranks, making his senior national team debut at the age of 18.
