WATCH: Babar Azam praises Virat Kohli and reveals his learning from Indian star cricketer
Babar Azam and Virat Kohli are two of the biggest superstars in cricket. Virat has a big name for himself in cricket and is a global sports superstar. Likewise, Babar is a very good batter and the biggest superstar in Pakistan. The two share a great bond and often share great moments with each other, whenever they meet each other in tournaments like Asia Cup, Champions Trophy, T20 World Cup, and ODI World Cup.
Azam has often claimed that he has learned a lot from Virat, which helped his game. It was during the 2022 Asia Cup when the two individuals met each other and had a brief conversation. Kohli, who was going through a rough patch till that point, made a great comeback in international cricket and has not looked back since then.

Talking about meeting and having a conversation with the Indian cricketer, Babar said “Feels very good when someone passes such comments on you. I was proud and happy as Virat spoke about me. When you achieve something or someone praises you, it gives you confidence. During the 2019 World Cup, I met him (Virat), and he was at his peak (He still is),” and praised the class of Kohli.
The Pakistan captain further revealed what he learned from Kohli in 2019. “At that point, I was thinking of taking something from him. I learned a lot from him during that phase. I asked him some questions and he explained it to me very well. It helped me a lot. When you do such things with others, it feels very good” added Babar and shared what he feels about the former India captain.
Pakistan started the Asia Cup 2023 on a good note, as they beat Nepal by 238 runs in the inaugural match of the tournament in Multan. The big rivalry match between India and Pakistan is set to take place on the 2nd of September in Pallekele, where the two superstars of the game will meet each other yet again.
