Watch: Amitabh Bachchan meets Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo at exhibition game in Riyadh
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan met four of the most well-known names in the world of football on Thursday. He went to declare the exhibition match that took place between Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Riyadh XI open. Before the match commenced, the actor shook hands with players from both teams. He later put out videos and pictures of the event on social media.
The football players included the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. His appearance at the match took many Indian fans by surprise. The fans were thrilled to see him and were loving it. Bachchan also shared a video on Twitter where he was seen walking onto the stadium and later when he greeted the players.
Bachchan wrote, “T 4533 – “An evening in Riyadh .. ” what an evening Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Mbape, Neymar all playing together .. and yours truly invited guest to inaugurate the game .. PSG vs Riyadh Seasons. Incredible (sic)!!!.”

Cristiano Ronaldo scores a brace against PSG
Bachchan fans were overjoyed at the meeting of the greats. “A legend was invited to meet and greet legends and they were all on the same page. Humble and in gratitude 🙂 – Amitabh deserves this and Ronald and Messi deserves this too. :).” One person commented, “Sir you are really an inspiration for us,” another person commented, ‘Big B is here to decide the GOAT debate once and for all’.
Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan are hardcore football fans. They often take to social media to share pictures of the matches that they have attended together. They support Chelsea football club which is the English Premier League side. Messi had recently led Argentina to a World Cup win in 2022 in Qatar. Argentina had beaten France 4-2 on penalties when the score was tied 3-3 at extra time.
Ronaldo parted ways with Manchester United after he had issues with the club and also with manager Eric ten Hag. He recently signed a contract with Saudi Arabia-based club Al Nassr. Ronaldo did not have the best of World Cups for Portugal in 2022 as they crashed out of the tournament after losing to Morocco in the quarterfinal.
