Watch- After Rohit Sharma injury scare Virat Kohli also gets hit in nets ahead of semi-final clash with England in 20-20 World Cup
Team India is gearing up for their mouth-watering clash with England in the 20-20 World Cup semi-final. The Rohit Sharma-led side is currently going through the preparations for the big game. Virat Kohli, India’s star batter has risen to the occasion and has made 246 runs in 5 matches so far. The right-hand batter has found his form after lingering out of it for more than 1000 days.
In the ongoing 20-20, World Cup Kohli has played with a sensational batting average of 123 and has also played a couple of match-winning innings already. Many former players and analysts have claimed Kohli to be the key for India’s World Cup campaign and believe the right-hand batter to be the reason for India’s success so far.
In a time like this, all fans would wish the star batter to be fit and available for their upcoming game against England. A recent video from India’s net practice however raises serious doubt for those fans and the Indian team alike.
A video that is going increasingly viral shows Kohli being hit by a Harshal Patel ball. The 34-year-old could be seen sitting on the ground following being hit by the ball. Soon however the right-hand batter could be seen getting up and being ready for the next ball showing signs of encouragement for the fans.

India got into the semi-final on the back of a great all-round performance on in the Super 12 stage. The Rohit Sharma-led side only lost to South Africa in the previous stage. They would not play against Jos Butler-led England side who have thwarted all challenges in the ‘Group of death’ and gotten into the semi-final. India will play the semi-final match on November 10th at Adelaide.
Elsewhere, Pakistan will clash with New Zealand in the other semi-final for a chance to head into the finals of the 20-20 World Cup.
