The Asia Cup will start on the 30th of August. The squads of most teams have been announced excluding Afghanistan and India. The multilateral tournament will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka via the hybrid model. While the other sides will shuttle between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, India will play all their matches at the Emerald Isle. On another note, when it comes to training methods, Mohammad Naim Shiekh has gone on a unique mode.

In a video that is widely shared on social media. Naim can be seen waking on fire in a bid to strengthen his mind ahead of the continental tournament. The Bangladesh opener was seen working with a mind trainer The games will be played in the ODI format and will be useful for sides to zero in on their combinations ahead of the World Cup that will take place in India. India last won the Asia Cup when it was held in the ODI format in 2018.

Nepal are in the same group as Pakistan and India in Asia Cup 2023

Shakib-Al Hasan will lead Bangladesh in the Asia Cup and the World Cup in India. Tamim Iqbal will not be a part of the Asia Cup squad as he is suffering from an injury. It is time for the subcontinent sides to show who will reign supreme. The teams will first be divided into two groups of three each. The top two teams from there will proceed to the Super Fours. Nepal has also qualified for the Asia Cup. The recent rise of Nepal Cricket has been there for everyone to see.

The India squad for the Asia Cup has not been announced and it is expected to be done on 21 August. In the Super Four stage, all teams will play each other once. The top two sides from the Super Fours will play in the final. Four matches will be held in Pakistan and the remaining nine will be held in Sri Lanka. The tournament promises to be one with very high quality as the best of Asia will battle it out in 13 games.
