‘Waah, aapne dil jeet liya’ – Fans react as Virender Sehwag posts special birthday wish for MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni, India’s Captain Cool turned 42 on Friday (July 7). MS Dhoni has been one of the best captains for team India. He has led India to three world titles and also taken India to number one in the Test rankings. He has had astute leadership skills which helped him to lead a team full of seniors in 2011 and helped them win a World Cup after 28 years. The whole of India expressed their wishes and gratitude to MS Dhoni for his wonderful contributions to Indian cricket.

Among the many people who wished MS Dhoni a very happy birthday, Virender Sehwag was also one of them. Sehwag put out a heartwarming tweet saying, The Sun God has 7 horses to pull his heavenly chariot. In the Rigveda, there are 7 parts of the world, 7 seasons, 7 fortresses, 7 basic musical notes, 7 pheras in marriage, 7 wonders of the world, and on the 7th day of the 7th month- Birthday of a top man MS Dhoni.

In Sehwag’s tweet, 7 was a reference to the Jersey number that MS Dhoni wore for India and continues to wear for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Sehwag and MS Dhoni have put together many marvellous partnerships for India over the years and have amazed the Indian crowds with their dominating stroke play. Both the batters were very aggressive when it came to batting and have changed games on their own and in partnerships for the national side with their amazing batting.

MS Dhoni had a good Test career and a short T20I career for India. But when it comes to the ODI’s he saved his team with his amazing performance for the country. When it came to the 50-over game, MS Dhoni represented India in 350 ODIs and smashed 10773 runs at an average of 50.57 and at a strike rate of 87.56. MS Dhoni hit 10 centuries and 73 half-centuries.

MS Dhoni was known as a crisis man for India and has often bailed the national side out of precarious situations. The man with the midas touch has done a lot of great work in Indian cricket. He also served as a mentor for the Men in Blue during the 2021 T20 World Cup.
