The ILT20 has roared through its second season, captivating fans with a month of thrilling T20 cricket. Six determined teams have battled it out, showcasing explosive batting, skilful bowling, and nail-biting finishes. From the soaring sixes of Nicholas Pooran to the wicket-taking magic of Fazalhaq Farooqui, each match has been a spectacle.

Now, all eyes are on the ongoing Finale between the MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals which is taking place at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. Both these teams have fought the rigours of the league stage and then the knock-outs to reach the summit clash and it remains to be seen as to which of the two teams will take the glittering trophy home.

The Dubai Capitals, led by Sam Billings, won the toss and elected to field first.  The Emirates started sensationally as their two openers, Kusal Perera and Muhammad Waseem strung together a vital 77-run stand for the first wicket. Both the batters got starts before throwing them away. However, Andre Fletcher ensured that the momentum wasn’t lost as he smashed 53 off just 37 deliveries. However, it was Pooran’s electrifying 57 off just 27 balls which helped the Emirates post a total of 208.

It will be interesting to see how the chase unfolds and if the Capitals will be able to get the better of Pooran and Co. In Billings, Rovman Powell, Sikandar Raza and Leus de Plooy, the Capitals have a threatening batting line-up that is likely to provide for a great finish to the tournament.
