Virat Kohli’s priceless reaction to KL Rahul’s 96-meter six against Shoriful Islam goes viral
Ahead of India’s fourth match in the 20-20 World Cup 2022 against Bangladesh, KL Rahul’s poor form with the bat was one of the biggest talking points. In three matches he opened the innings for the team, the Indian batter could only manage to score 22 runs with the bat. He scored only 4 runs in the high-voltage encounter against Pakistan and followed that up with 9 runs each against the Netherlands and South Africa.
However, the Indian opener put his form behind against Bangladesh on Wednesday as he notched a half-century in just 31 deliveries. KL Rahul looked confident right from the start of his innings but took his time before changing gears.
Rahul scored 31 runs in his first 26 deliveries but then tore apart Shoriful Islam in the 9th over to accelerate. He smashed him for two sixes and a four in three deliveries, including a no-ball. From 31 off 26, Rahul reached 48 off 30 balls.
Out of the two sixes he hit to Shoriful Islam, one six went for 96 meters and it also left Virat Kohli completely by surprise. His reaction to KL Rahul’s six has been doing the rounds on social media and the fans have loved every bit of that.

KL Rahul, however, got out right after notching the half-century. Suryakumar Yadav then arrived and upped the ante with an outstanding knock of 30 runs in 16 balls but he too couldn’t convert that into a big score. The likes of Hardik Pandya (5) and Dinesh Karthik (7) also got out cheaply, however, a sensational knock of 64 runs in 44 balls from Virat Kohli meant India notch a formidable score of 184 runs at the end of the first innings.
At the time of writing, Bangladesh are 6 for no loss in 1.1 overs.
