‘Aise dost na hi ho phir kisi ke’ – Fans react as Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma post Instagram stories regarding ODI WC 2023 tickets
There is a huge demand for the ODI World Cup 2023 tickets. The big tournament has garnered all the attention from the fans and the cricket fraternity in general. World Cup tickets are usually in demand, more so in India. Even during the 2011 ODI World Cup, there was a huge demand for the tickets. There is immense hype for the tournament in India.
The difficulty in getting tickets for the match is real. Many struggled to get tickets, as after 30 minutes of the announcement of tickets, almost all of them were sold out. Since the cricketers have the privilege of getting the match tickets so that they can share it with some of their friends, family, or other close persons, they often get queries regarding the match tickets from the fans, friends, and family.
Talking about the same, the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has let out an Instagram story even before the start of the tournament. Virat requested his family members and friends to not ask him for the match tickets. On his Instagram story, Virat wrote “As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all through the tournament. Enjoy from your homes pls.”
Anushka Sharma adds her message to Virat Kohli’s request
The Indian cricketer humbly requested his friends to not ask for the match tickets. It received a reply from Anushka Sharma, the wife of Virat, in the form of an Instagram story. Anushka took a screenshot of Virat’s story, attached it on her story, and wrote “And let me just add… Please don’t request me to help if your messages get unanswered. Thank you for your understanding.”
The stories of the two celebrity couples did not go well with the fans. Many fans criticized them for not caring for their friends. In the past, Ravichandran Ashwin, Irfan Pathan, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, and other cricketers had also mentioned the difficulty of saying no to friends in providing the World Cup tickets. This one seems like a similar story.
