Star Indian batter Rinku Singh praised Jasprit Bumrah’s captaincy in his debut series for India. Singh shined for Team India in his debut series, he was awarded Player of the Match for his 38 (21) in the second T20I, whereas the Jasprit Bumrah-led side won the game by 33 runs and later went on to win the series by 2-0 as the final and third game got washed out.

The left-handed batter and star Indian pacer had an interesting moment when Bumrah turned into a translator for him when Singh won the Player of the Match award batting at the number five position. During the second T20I, Singh’s innings reminded everyone of his famous knock, which brought him into the limelight when, in the IPL 2023, batting for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he smashed five sixes in the last over to chase down the target.

“Jasprit Bumrah is a very supportive captain. He told me to relax and play freely when I was nervous,” Rinku Singh said, as quoted by News 24 Sports. It is pertinent to mention that the left-handed batter was selected for the Ireland tour based on his performance in IPL 2023, where he scored 474 runs from 14 games with an average of 59.25, including a strike rate of 149.52. But his fame and glory innings was surely in that one match where he hit five sixes in the last over to chase down the target.

The Indian pacer Bumrah also made a comeback in the Indian team after almost a gap of 11 months as he was recovering from a back injury, the right-arm pacer made his captaincy debut in this series. Bumrah was awarded ‘Player of the Series’ as he was clinical with his bowling skills. In the first game, he picked up two wickets by giving 14 runs in four overs.
