Twitter can’t contain its excitement as Real Madrid are pitted against Liverpool in Champions League yet again
PSG vs Bayern Munich is another tie that has sent fans buzzing.

The draw for the Champions League Round of 16 is complete and fate has brought about two mouth-watering clashes this early in the tournament.
The title holders Real Madrid have been pitted with last yearโs runners-up Liverpool in what has come out as a welcome surprise to all football fans. Liverpool won the coveted trophy in the 2018-19 season against Tottenham Hotspur while Real Madrid went on to win in the 2021-22 season.
The two have since then clashed thrice with Real Madrid coming up victorious on all occasions. The Liverpool fans had hopes of revenge after what they consider was an unfair injury to star player Mohammad Salah in the 2018 Champions League final. There hopes however are yet to come to frustration.
In another draw, the star-studded PSG team from France have been pitted with German Giants Bayern Munich. The two clubs have formed a modern-day rivalry in which PSG have come out with victories whereas Bayern Munich have tasted victory on five occasions. Interestingly none of the games between PSG and Bayern have ended in a draw.
These two teams are the favourites of this yearโs tournament but the draw now confirms that only one of them will go through to the next stage of the tournament while the other will have to try again next time.
A quite competitive Round of 16 draw has left Twitter buzzing as very few expected not just one but two mouth-watering contests so early in the tournament.
