Barcelona man and also Juventus target Frank Kessie has reportedly attracted attention from Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the next season. It is all but certain that Kessie will no more be a part of that Barcelona side. He is in the ongoing summer transfer window after he failed to make the first XI in Barcelona Manager Xavi Hernandez’s plans. Barcelona are also interested in parting ways with him so that they can fill up their coffers.

As per a report from Fichajes, Barcelona and Juventus have gone through rounds of talks to take the midfielder into their fold this summer. There was no proper agreement on the matter between the two parties. Now Spurs have come into the picture as a club that could take the midfielder. Tottenham will start from ground zero under the managerial leadership of Ange Postecoglou want to try and add Kessie to their midfield at any cost. An offer could come up after Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain target Harry Kane who is expected to leave the club.

Kessie started in 16 appearances in 43 games for Barcelona

From Barcelona’s point of view, they are intent on waiting for the offer from Tottenham as both midfielder and the club are not too keen to send him to Juventus. They want to thoroughly asses the offer from Tottenham. The offer looks like it could be a very significant one as compared to the one that could come from Juventus. If Kessie ends up at the Spurs, he would be a wonderful addition to their side. Kessie could be a big point of difference to Tottenham in the midfield.

If Kessie comes in he will be filling in for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who is likely to move away from Tottenham. Kessie did not have a good stint at Barcelona as he failed to catch Xavi’s keen eye. He played in the XI in 16 of his 43 appearances in all tournaments where he scored three goals and three assists for the Catalans.
