IPL 2024 is still a few months away but the anticipation for the event is at an all-time high. Gue The first stop for all ten teams is the IPL Mini Auctions set to be held in Dubai on the 19th of December.

The next season could very well be the last time we witness a few big names play in the tournament. In this article, we take a look at the top 5 players who could bid adieu to IPL after the next season.

The former Indian skipper has already given huge hints that IPL 2024 could be his final season. The 42-year-old has led Chennai Super Kings to five titles and would want to go out on a high with perhaps his 6th title.

MS Dhoni is a huge legend of the game but he has to consider his recent injuries as well. Advancing age as well could make it difficult for MS Dhoni to even entertain thoughts of the IPL 2025 season.

Dinesh Karthik – Royal Challengers Bangalore

At 38-year-years old, Dinesh Karthik is very well in the final stretch of his cricket career. IPL 2024 could very well be the last time we see DK in the field considering his poor performances last year. Royal Challengers Bangalore has retained the veteran but the time to draw curtains on his career is near.

41-year-old Amit Mishra is a certified legend in the league and IPL 2024 could be his swansong. The former India spinner is 4th on the list of leading wicket-takers in the history of the league. Amit Mishra will want to win the IPL title and go out on a high.

The former South African skipper has hinted at his intention to play T20I cricket once again. At 39-years-old Faf Du Plessis isn’t getting any younger and IPL 2024 could be his final season in the league. If he can win the title for RCB, he will forever attain legendary status in Bangalore.

Karn Sharma – Royal Challengers Bangalore

Once considered a promising spinner Karn Sharma has now become a backup player in IPL. The 36-year-old has been retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the coming season. One doesn’t expect Karn Sharma to be given much playing time this season as well. It will not be a surprise if he says goodbye to the league and walks off into the sunset.
