Peter Schmeichel played in the era of van der Sar and was competing with the latter. The former Scandinavian player was one of the best reflex savers that the world has ever produced. He was part of Manchester United’s five titles and was the Champions League winner in 1999.
Apart from this, he has won one English League Cup, three FA Cups, as many English Premier League, and a sole UEFA Champions League. Notably, his son, Kasper Schmeichel followed his father and became a successful goalkeeper.
