The top spot in the list of the best opening pairs in Asia Cup history has been secured by two Sri Lanka legends – Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara. The dangerous right-hand left-hand combo of Lankan cricket played a combined 12 innings in the tournament for 10 years from 2004-2014. The duo scored 694 runs at an average of 63.09 with two-century partnerships and four half-century partnerships.
