Having been appointed as the captain of the T20I side, Pandya has been given the responsibility to revamp the team and change their approach ahead of the 20-20 World Cup 2024. The all-rounder made a sensational comeback to international cricket last year as he emerged as the hero in several victories.
In 2022, the all-rounder scored 607 runs at an average of 33.72 and a strike rate of 145.91. He also picked up 20 wickets in 23 innings at an average of 27.20 and an economy of 8.50. 2023 brings with it the dawn of a new era in T20Is for team India and Hardik being the torchbearer of the team will look to start it in grand fashion as he hopes for another memorable knock at Wankhede.
