As the ODI World Cup 2023 gears up to captivate cricket enthusiasts around the globe, Pakistan’s head coach, Grant Bradburn, is brimming with anticipation and excitement. Stepping back into his role with the Pakistan team, Bradburn is not only thrilled about the cricketing challenges that lie ahead but also the fervent support of Pakistan’s passionate fans. With a renewed sense of purpose, he aims to create unforgettable moments on the field and contribute to the common bond shared by both Pakistan and India through their love and knowledge of the game.

Pakistan head coach Grant Bradburn can’t wait to lead his side in the ODI World Cup 2023 which will unfold in India. Expressing his delight, he said “The two nations have a common bond and a love and knowledge of cricket. They know what good cricket is. It was just amazing to see so many people at the airport to welcome us. We’re hoping that we can show our skills on the field.”

Bradburn has returned to Pakistan set up but this time as a head coach. He is pumped up about coming back to the Pakistan team because of the fanfare that is always there around the team. He loves the emotional and expressive Pakistan fans and he is ready to give them moments to cherish.

Rizwan’s remarkable rise and team reflection: Bradburn’s Insights

He was pleasantly surprised to see the transformation in some of the players who were relatively young when he left the side. Bradburn particularly praised the wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan. Rizwan has turned out to be one of the mainstays of the Pakistan team in the past few years. In his last tenure as Pakistan’s fielding coach, he revealed, that Rizwan would not get too many opportunities because Sarfaraz was the main man at that time. But the way Rizwan grabbed his opportunities has impressed Bradburn.

Addressing the recent Asia Cup debacle, he said that it was a big learning curve for them as they were not able to adapt to the slow and turning conditions in Sri Lanka. As per him Team India’s counterattack did break the spirits and forced them to reflect on what’s going wrong. But the New Zealander is hopeful of a great campaign this time around in India.

Pakistan team has come to India with huge expectations. Fans back home are expecting an emphatic World Cup show from their players. But it won’t be easy for the Pakistanis as they have no experience of playing in India and it could take a bit of time for them to acclimatize.  Pakistan will play its first match against the Netherlands at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
