The sixth match of the 6ixty tournament took place at Basseterre, between the Jamaica Tallawahs and the Barbados Royals on Saturday. The coin went in the favour of Barbados Royals and they elected to field first.

The Tallawahs got their bats out and swung hard. The first to go was Kennar Lewis who got out quickly to Bosch after hitting a six in his brief stay at the crease, he scored only 7. Amir Jangoo, who opened with Kennar, sent the bowlers from Barbados on a leather hunt, scoring 68 runs from just 27 balls, his innings contained 4 fours and 6 massive big ones.

Rovman Powell, the skipper for Jamaica came and went after making a quick cameo of 11 in just 6 deliveries which consisted of 2 boundaries. Fabian Allen, who made a name for himself in the CPL, did not trouble the scorers for long as he perished to Young after making 10 runs from 7 deliveries.

Raymon Reifer stole the show towards the end. He came in and just played in the fifth gear. He went after the bowling with authority and the Barbados attack was very clueless as to where to bowl to him. He came, saw, and conquered in his innings of 57 from just 19 balls which had 8 fours and 3 maximums.

The Tallawahs scored a mammoth 162-3 in their 10 overs. There was not much to write about the bowling as Jason Holder, Nyeem Young and Corbin Bosch all picked up a wicket each in their respective 2-over spells. In the second innings, the Barbados Royals had a mountain to climb. They never got going. Rakheem Cornwall at the top started well but couldn’t convert. He scored a quickfire 25 in just 8 balls, consisting of 4 sixes but was eventually dismissed by Fabian Allen.

The top scorers were Corbin Bosch, who scored 35 from 18 balls including 5 fours and a six. The sensation from Ireland, Harry Tector also got 33 runs with 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. In the end, the Royals could muster only 121 and were all out in 9.5 overs. The Jamaica bowlers had a field day as Raymon Reifer picked up 3 for 16 in his spell. Fabian Allen had an expensive bowling spell but picked up the big scalp of Rakheem Cornwall. Nicholson Gordon picked up 2 for 18 as well. The Jamaica Tallawahs registered a big win of 41 runs over the Barbados Royals.
