MS Dhoni will captain Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for the 200th time in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The most reliable IPL captain in history, Dhoni has guided CSK to four IPL championships (2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021 editions).

As such, before the game’s commencement, MS Dhoni was felicitated in the Stadium by CSK authorities. He was given a memento while a special banner made up the backdrop for the memorable moment. The photos from the mini-ceremony are flooding throughout the internet, provoking reactions from fans on Twitter.

Ravindra Jadeja, the star all-around player for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), wishes to give MS Dhoni a gift in his 200th game as CSK’s captain by defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) game. “What can I say? He is a legend of not only CSK, he is a legend of Indian cricket. I would like to wish him good luck,” Jadeja said at the pre-match press conference.

“Hopefully, we will win the game tomorrow and give it as a gift to him on his 200th match as captain. Hope to continue the momentum of how we have played in the last two games.” Both CSK and RR have quality spin bowlers in their line-ups. Jadeja feels as a batting unit, “we (CSK) have to apply ourselves.”

“Yeah, you can say that. When you come to Chennai, you are always hoping that spinners will do the job for you. They have quality spinners; we also have quality spinners. It will be a good battle. As a batting unit, we have to apply ourselves and pick those areas where we can hit boundaries. That will be challenging. As a batsman, it is not going to be that easy. Batters need to capitalise and pick those gaps,” Ravindra Jadeja added.
