Stuart Broad be like- ‘Ae to ghar jaa re’ – Fans troll Warner after he gets out against Stuart Broad for record 15th time

Before this series, Broad had the upper hand on Warner as the former dismissed the southpaw 14 times from 26 Tests.

With all the hype and the anticipation that was expected from the Ashes 2023, it will be no wrong in saying that the first day of the series certainly provided that to the fans. The fans were treated to the Bazball style of cricket from England’s batting lineup as well as some resilient bowling from Australians.

Also, later in the day, there was a debatable decision from the English side when they shook everyone with their decision of declaring their first innings after getting 393/8 on board. The declaration was even more surprising as Joe Root was batting so well and looked settled on 118 (152).

The Ashes is often known for its fierce competition and mouth-watering battles between the players which certainly attracts a lot of crowd as well as fan following. One such player battle which the fans were eagerly waiting for was David Warner against Stuart Broad.

Before this series, Broad had the upper hand on Warner as the former dismissed the southpaw 14 times from 26 Test that the duo have faced against each other. The Day 2 of the first Ashes 2023 Test match saw exactly that both the Australian openers, Usman Khwaja and David Warner were looking to give the 2023 World Test Champions a solid start but certainly Board had other plans as he dismissed the 36-year-old for the 15th time now.

Warner endeavored to play a booming cover drive but eventually ended up playing the shot poorly and finished chopping the ball onto his own stumps. Later, things went from bad to worse for the number two ranked Test side when Marnus Labuschagne lost his wicket for a golden duck, putting Broad on a hat trick ball which Steve Smith eventually survived.

Citing this, here is how fans reacted to Warner’s miserable run against Broad:

Warner is desperate to end his Test career on a high as he himself revealed before the start of the Ashes that he will walk away from the national Test team this coming December. However, his Ashes campaign got off to a miserable start as the star Australian batter was dismissed for just nine runs at the hands of Broad, who has long had the edge over the Australian opener
