‘Ab galat ko sahi karne ka wakt aa gaya hai’ – Fans react as special ceremony to be held ahead of ODI WC 2023 match between India and Pakistan

A special ceremony is set to be held in Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad ahead of the match between India and Pakistan on Saturday. The move comes as the opening ceremony was not held in the ODI World Cup before the inaugural match between New Zealand and England. There was huge criticism from the fans for skipping the inaugural ceremony of the tournament.

Bu the hosts and the international cricket board is set to compensate for it, as a special ceremony will happen in the world’s biggest cricket stadium. The match has a lot of hype, and the fans are highly excited for it. As a result, the hosts are interested to arrange a special ceremony before the start of the match, which can entertain the crowd. But even this move is criticized by the fans.

Since there was no opening ceremony, the teams like England and New Zealand would be disappointed by it. But the arrangement of a special ceremony for the match between India and Pakistan, which is neither a tournament opener, nor the final of the tournament, has not gone well with the fans. The hosts and the international cricket board are being accused of setting a monopoly in the tournament.

Movie stars, cricketers, and political leaders to be present at the venue

Many celebrities are expected to grace the event. Many movie stars and cricket stars are expected to watch the match between India and Pakistan at the venue. Some of the biggest names include Sachin Tendulkar, Rajinikanth, and Amitabh Bachchan, who are the biggest stars in India. They were provided the golden ticket by Jay Shah, the secretary of the Indian cricket board.

Among the performers for the ceremony, the popular singer Arijit Singh is confirmed as one of the highlights in the event. The other performers for the event are yet to be revealed. Many other movie stars might be in the stadium to watch the match. Reportedly, more than one lakh spectators are expected to watch the match. Union minister Amit Shah might also be present in the venue.
