‘Sorry bro , but that run out still haunts us!’ – Twitter reacts to Jimmy Neesham’s remark on MS Dhoni which reminded of IND vs NZ 2019 WC semi-final
MS Dhoni showed the fans that there was a lot of his old self. He turned back time when he went after the Rajasthan Royals bowlers. His belligerent hitting helped Chennai Super Kings make a match out of it. CSK, in the end, lost by just 3 runs. MS Dhoni came to the crease when CSK needed 73 runs to win. He forged an all-important partnership with Ravindra Jadeja.
MS Dhoni entertained the Chepauk crowd with his magnificent sixes. The CSK skipper made a vintage 32 off 17 balls. This innings from MS earned him a lot of plaudits from the cricket community. New Zealand all-rounder also appreciated MS Dhoni for his knock. The blackcaps player said that when he woke up, he saw 100 tweets which were related to how he would have been on the wrong side of the 2019 World Cup semi-final. It immediately occurred to him that MS Dhoni had scored some runs.
Here is the Tweet:
Woke up to another 100 tweets about how I should’ve lost the World Cup semifinal 4 years ago. MS must’ve scored some runs again 😂😂😂

MS Dhoni had scored 50 off 72 balls when India were 71-5 in the 2019 World Cup semi-final
“Woke up to another 100 tweets about how I should’ve lost the World Cup semi-final 4 years ago. MS must’ve scored some runs again,” Neesham wrote on Twitter. When the 2019 World Cup semi-final was played India were set a target of 240 by New Zealand to make their way into the final. India were in disarray at 71-5 when Dhoni walked to the crease. He put together a crucial 116 run stand off 103 balls with Ravindra Jadeja.
The left-hander made 77 off 59 balls. When Jadeja was out, India needed 31 in the last two overs. Dhoni hit a maximum of the first ball of Lockie Ferguson. But off the third ball, the whole of India shuddered when he was run out due to a rocket throw by Matin Guptill. He had made 50 off 72 balls in that match. The Indian fans feel that if he was at the crease during those last few deliveries, then India would have made it to the summit clash against England.
MS Dhoni’s biceps became the talk of the town when he started training in Chennai. His body build was so different. Many people said that it would help him in his power game. That is what Dhoni has done. He has come in at 7 and tonked a few at the end overs.
Let us take a look at the reactions on Twitter:

This may sound crazy to Ms fans, but you got to accept the reality that even without that runout it was very difficult for him to win that match on his own given how well Ferguson was bowling
