The next most significant assignment for Team India will be the ODI in the Asia Cup. The multilateral tournament will be played in the 50-over format ahead of the 2023 World Cup. India recently played a three-match ODI series against West Indies where India won 2-1. In the series, Suryakumar Yadav did not have the best times as he scored 19, 24, and 35 respectively in the three ODI’s he played in the Caribbean.
When it comes to Suryakumar’s ODI numbers, they do not make good reading like his T20I stats. The right-hander has scored 511 runs in 26 matches at an average of 24.33 and a strike rate of 101.38. He has just hit two half-centuries so far. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma said that it is important to give Suryakumar Yadav extra game time and that he is working hard to better his style of playing in the 50-over format.

“He is really working hard, and he is talking to a lot of guys who have played a lot of ODI cricket as to what kind of attitude and mindset (to have)… like that,” Rohit said in an interview with News 18. “It is important to give a batter like him the cushion of extra games so that he finds that groove and gets that confidence. The way he started the IPL this year, in the first 4-5 games he did not have too many runs. But look what he did after that,” Rohit added.
Rohit further added that the management is keen to see what he can offer in ODIs for the national side and he is sure that Suryakumar will come good sooner than later. “For a player like him, it is our job to create such a situation and scenario — It’s okay if you don’t do well in 2-3 games we are okay, but when you come off, we know that you will win games straightaway”. Rohit further elucidated on the 32-year-old. In the third T20I, he found some much-needed form as he made 83 off 44 balls with 10 fours and four sixes.

SKY is a T20 BATSMAN let him play T20Is picking him in ODIs and batting at him in 4 doesn't have any impact in team score because most times No 4 BATSMAN need to anchor as well as play spin well SKY on the other hand playing like power hitting batsman will not succeed in ODIs
