Four teams have now made their way to the upper bracket semifinals at the Six Invitational 2024. Two out of four teams already holding a direct spot in the semifinals are now competing in the lower bracket. The upper bracket semifinal will now see Soniqs face Faze Clan, while DarkZero will face Virtus.pro.
Wolves Esports, who reached the quarterfinals after defeating w7m Esports, lost to Soniqs in the quarterfinals. In the best of three matchups, Soniqs dominated the Wolves in the first two matches on the attacking side.
The Wolves then dropped to the lower bracket, where they lost to Team Bliss with a 1-2 scoreline, ending their run in this year’s Six Invitational.
The match between G2 and Faze, two of the most popular teams, was interesting. G2 took the first match after an intense battle, however, Faze made a comeback with a back-to-back victory in the next two.
While G2 might have lost the match, they are not ready to give up just yet. The team defeated Liquid in the lower bracket and moved to Lower Bracket Round 3 where they will face Team Bliss.
Another intense match in the quarterfinals, both Spacestation and DarkZero put up a great show. The match ended with DarkZero defeating Spacestation in the decider map.
Spacestation Gaming, however, defeated their opponents Bleed Esports after dropping to the lower brackets. Spacestation provided a quick defeat and will move forward.
Ninjas in Pyjamas did not have a good day. First, the team lost to Virtus.pro, who did not even give them a round in the second match. However, they lost again to W7m Esports after dropping to the lower brackets.
W7m Esports, who lost in the opening match against Spacestation Gaming, will now face them again in the lower bracket round 3.
