Shubman Gill names cricketer who can voice Marvel character ‘Venom’

Shubman Gill has been in great form in the IPL 2023. Gill has scored 576 runs in 13 matches at an average of 48. The right hander has scored a hundred in this year’s IPL as well. Gill has been in good form in ODI’s and Test matches for India. He scored his second Test century against Australia and also became the youngest Indian to smash an ODI double century against New Zealand in Hyderabad recently.

Along with playing cricket, Gill was recently named as the Hindi and Punjabi voice of the Indian Spider Man. Pavitr Prabhakar for the upcoming film, Spider Man: Across the Spider Verse. Gill attended the trailer launch of the Marvel Blockbuster. Gill was asked which cricketer would fit the voice of the Villian Venom for which he replied, Virat Kohli. He further mentioned Ishan Kishan’s name when he was asked to pick another cricketer for the lead voice of Spider Man.

Gill had attended the trailer launch of the upcoming film in Mumbai. Gill who endorses brands already and is known to have a style quotient, struck the iconic Spider Man pose on a car at the event. During the trailer launch, he was asked about cricketers who could voice the characters of Marvel in what was a wonderful Question and Answer session.

Gill further spoke about the film, he said, Spiderman is his favourite superhero.“I think it was very exciting, jo bhi maine waha pe kiya. I think Punjabi was a little more fun for me and Hindi was a great experience. Isse pehle maine kabhi dubbing nahi kiya tha but jitna maine socha tha usse bhi zyada exciting nikla. Bahut hi mazza aaya,” Gill said. (I had not dubbed before, but it was very exciting).

Sony Entertainment pictures is set to release the film in ten languages across India. The film will be released on June 1, 2023, in theaters. The Languages include, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, and Bengali and English.
