Shruti Haasan breaks her silence on wedding rumours with Santanu Hazarika
Shruti Haasan, an actor and musician, used social media to dispel rumours regarding her marriage to boyfriend Santanu Hazarika. Following Orhan Awatramani, also known as Orry,’s claim that the actor is married during a Reddit AMA session, wedding rumours began to circulate.
Shruti wrote a brief message on her Instagram stories refuting the rumours. “So, I’m not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. So people who don’t know me at all, please calm down.”
Santanu, meanwhile, confirmed that he is single on social media. He wrote, “Y’all need to calm down! We’re not tied to one another! Please stop spreading rumours about people who don’t know us, with a folded-hands emoji.” A user had asked Orry during the AMA session, “Hello Orry, has there been a celebrity who has shown you an unnecessary attitude while posing for a photo? Give suggestions if you’re unable to take a name.”

Orry replied, writing, “Shruti Hasan. She was extremely rude to me at an event that I had actually gotten her into, and I don’t even know her. I felt terrible, but I think there was a misunderstanding because I get along well with her husband and I adore him. It wasn’t for posing, because I never asked her. This will be resolved in due course. But according to the rumour mill, she referred to me as a “Pune” (peon), like a spot boy or something.”
