Lionel Messi is going through some testing times at the moment. In what is terrifying news, Gunmen have ambushed a super- market in Argentina which is owned by Lionel Messi’s wife Antonela Roccuzzo and also left a scary message for the World Cup winner.

The two men came on a motorcycle and their footage was captured on CCTV. The men strode up to the place where Messi’s home was situated and were firing in succession at the metal shutters over the windows and the front door. Shots were fired at the supermarket which were more than half-a dozen. The assailants have put a handwritten message.

The attack was also covered by a TV station said that the attackers could be trying to siphon money from the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.The supermarket, which is known by the name of Supermercado Unico, is said to belong to Antonela’s family and is understood to be managed by one of her cousins.

The Super Market is expected to be shut on Thursday following the gun attack. Messi owns a large mansion called “The Fortress” which is outside of Rosario. The palatial property is built on three acres and is also a gated private estate. It has a huge gym, cinema and it has a huge space to accommodate 15 cars.

He married Antonela in a glitzy wedding in 2017  at Rosario’s City Centre Hotel and Casino.  Messi recently tasted World Cup success as he won the trophy at Qatar. He helped Argentina defeat France by 4-2 margin on penalties after the scores were tied at 3-3 after extra time. Argentina missed out on winning the World Cup in 2014 against Germany as they were runners up then.

Messi led Argentina at Qatar, he rallied the troops and helped his side win the World Cup. Argentina had lost their first World Cup game against Saudi Arabia 2-1.
