‘Shakti De maa’- Fans in tears after seeing Rishabh Pant heavily bandaged while playing chess
Rishabh Pant has not had the best of times, of late. The India wicketkeeper batter met with a horrible near-death accident while he was driving from Delhi to Roorkee. Pant had abrasions on his knee and also he had tears in his ligaments. He is now recuperating from the injuries that he sustained in the accident.
In February, he had put out an encouraging message with pictures which gave his fans a sigh of relief and they were all happy that he was recuperating well. Meanwhile, another picture of Pant has been doing the rounds on social media and it has sent the fans into a sad state. It shows a picture of him wearing an orange T-shirt with his leg heavily bandaged.

Rishabh Pant will not turn up for Delhi the Indian T20 League 2023
In the picture, Pant had left a still of a chess board and he captioned the photo saying,
“Can anyone guess who’s playing”.
And in the second story, he left a brief video of the breeze that’s blowing around him. In a big blow to his Indian T20 league franchise Delhi, Pant won’t be available for this edition. He led Delhi franchise in the 2021 and also the 2022 editions of the Indian T20 League.
The franchise has announced that David Warner will be leading the side in the absence of Rishabh Pant. Pant is slated to miss the Indian T20 League and also the Test Championship final which will happen in England on June 7-11 at the Oval.
Pant has been India’s best test batters with hundreds under his belt in England and Australia. Pant plays an attacking game against spinners which suits India but, now he will be missed.
Pant has been in amazing form with the bat in the red-ball format. The left-handed batter has scored 2271 runs. Pant has scored the runs at an average of 43.67 and a strike rate of 73.63. The 25-year-old scored 11 half-centuries and five centuries when he donned the white flannels for India. Pant also has improved his wicketkeeping massively and has kept well even at home.
Let us take a look at the reactions on Twitter with regards to Pant’s recent picture-
