Shahid Kapoor to star in a mythological film on Mahabharata?

For a long time now, a film on the Suryaputra Karna was in talks. It seems it is finally time for a film to be made on the epic mythological story of Mahabharata. Yes, you have read it right! After a lot of attempts to deliver the best Ramayana film. The Bollywood industry is now focusing on the other epic mythological story, Mahabharata. As per the reports, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor will play the titular role of Karna as the film will be told through his perception.

On Sunday, Bollywood’s versatile actor Shahid Kapoor made headlines for signing a film based on the epic Mahabharata tale of India. The reports also suggested that his next magnum opus film will be produced by the ace Indian filmmakers Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani. If the reports are believed to be true, then the actor is all set to play the role of Karna, the son of Kunti. This will stir a lot of controversies and excitement amongst the fans on social media.

Earlier in 2021, the mega production house Pooja Entertainment took to its official social media handle. They announce a film to be made on Mahabharata. They even went on to disclose the film’s title as ‘Suryaputra Mahavir Karna’. Since then, the fans have been eager to find out more details about the epic drama entertainer. The audience is also anticipating to find out who will be playing the lead role in this upcoming magnum opus Hindi film. The reports suggest that the film tells the tale of  Karna, the unsung warrior of Mahabharata.

‘Suryaputra Mahavir Karna’ will be a Pan-Indian film and will be released in five languages. The movie will be available on the big screens in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The movie will be directed by the ace director RS Vimal. Meanwhile, the dialogues, songs and additional screenplay will be written by Dr. Kumar Vishwas. Earlier, reports of Ranveer Singh signing this film had made headlines. However, this didn’t work out and now it seems Shahid Kapoor is all set to play the warrior in this upcoming film.
