On Saturday Australia experienced spinner Nathan Lyon described Rachin Ravindra as a “superstar”. Rachin Ravindra is still now the crease as New Zealand still aims to win the first Test match in Basin Reserve, Wellington. As Day 3 ended Rachin Ravindra is remained not out on 56 runs while New Zealand has scored 111 runs for 3 wickets lost on the scoreboard.

Daryl Mitchell has scored 12 runs and is unbeaten as the duo has put on a partnership of 52 runs which gave New Zealand a ray of hope in difficult batting conditions. Nathan Lyon has got 2 wickets as he dismissed opener Tom Latham and Kane Williamson. On Day 2 of the first Test match, a fan entered the field and caused the problem.

However, while the match was underway, a streaker disrupted the game by running naked onto the pitch, causing the image to quickly circulate on social media. Fans wasted no time in sharing their amusing reactions, yet the intrusion undeniably distracted the players, who appeared visibly annoyed by the disruption.

Earlier on Day 3 New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips picked his career-best figures as he took 5 wickets and 45 runs as the Australian team was all-out on the score of 164 runs in the second innings. While New Zealand lost quick wickets Rachin Ravindra stood up and controlled the innings by scoring 56 runs from 94 balls.

This is the first time I’ve bowled to him: Nathan Lyon

Lyon said it would be crucial to quickly remove the 24-year-old, who scored three centuries at last year’s 50-over World Cup. “Rachin seems like a really good player,” Lyon said.

“This is the first time I’ve bowled to him — I watched a lot of him during the World Cup and he’s going to be a superstar. Credit where it’s due, he’s played very well here. But I know if we can put pressure on them and challenge their defence for long periods of time, hopefully, we can crack them.” he added.
