WTC 2021-23

‘Second innings mei purane Kohli ko mimic kare bass’ – Fans react as Ravindra Jadeja says Virat Kohli mimics others in dressing room

The WTC final for 2021-23 cycle is being played between Australia and India at the Oval, London

Australia significantly tightened their hold on the match on Day 3 of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23 Final after an unusual session concluded in India’s favour. Before being bowled by the deadly Australian pacers, India struck 296 from a score of 151/5 overnight. Ajinkya Rahane made a courageous 89 runs off 129 balls, but Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja also made significant contributions with scores of 51 and 48.

Pat Cummins, the captain of the Australian team, had the best bowling figures with 3/83 in 20 overs. Nathan Lyon only had one wicket, but Mitchell Starc, Scott Boland, and Cameron Green all returned with two. Australia entered the second innings with a 173-run lead because of their collective bowling performance.

As such, after the game while speaking to Star Sports, Ravindra Jadeja revealed that Virat Kohli has a habit of mimicking others in the dressing room. “Virat Kohli is the funniest guy in the team. He loves to mimic everyone,” he said. Fans reacted to the same plentifully and most suggested that Virat Kohli needs to mimic his younger self in the second innings of the ongoing WTC final.

Australia start Day 4 with a lead of 296 runs

David Warner edged an outswinger from Mohammed Siraj and India early in the Australian innings, allowing KS Bharat to quickly take a low catch. Usman Khawaja, the other Australian opener, was directed to the pavilion by Umesh Yadav after tea.

Following the removal of the game’s two openers, Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne continued to collaborate well. Australia’s third wicket was lost on Day 3 as Smith had trouble with Ravindra Jadeja. Travis Head’s dismissal allowed Jadeja to continue his massacre and eliminate the two centurions from the first inning.

Australia’s lead after Day 3 increased from 123/4 to 296 runs. With 2/25 in 9 overs, Ravindra Jadeja is at the top of the Indian bowling order. Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur have yet to add any wickets to their totals from the first innings, while Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav have each taken one.
