‘Salaam Ashwin aap India ke jadugar hein’ – Fans laud R Ashwin as he takes his 31st five-wicket haul in Tests

Ravichandran Ashwin has been an all-time great for India in Test match cricket. He has been a match-winner for India in the five-day format. He has played 89 Test matches and has picked up 457 wickets at an average of 24.04. He has 31 five-wicket hauls to his name. He recently got to the 450-wicket milestone in Test cricket when he dismissed Alex Carey in the first innings. 

He picked up 3-42 in the first innings and dismissed the lower-order batters with aplomb. He even scored a vital 23 off 62 balls with two fours and one six. He then picked up another five-wicket haul in the second innings. He has been a warhorse for India in the white flannels. The man from Tamil Nadu has taken 97 wickets in 19 matches against the Kangaroos and has proved to be their nemesis.

He has also scored 3066 runs in Tests and has also scored five hundreds. He has a batting average of 27.37. The off -spinner has been a wonderful cog in the wheel in the Indian Test side with his bowling and batting ever since he made his debut in 2011.  India have had a proven match winner in Ashwin in Test cricket.

India have dominated the Test match so far. They skittled the Kangaroos down for just 177 in the first innings. Jadeja got 5-47 in his 22 over spell and pressed the Australians into submission. Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel produced a wonderful batting display. Rohit made 120 off 212 balls with 15 fours and two sixes on a tough track at Nagpur. 

Jadeja and Azar Patel made 70 off 185 balls with nine fours and 84 off 174 balls with 10 fours and one six, respectively. This helped India get a big lead of 223 runs. India have been on target and have not given anything easy against the Australians. India have shown that they are not pushovers in home conditions where they know what it takes to win.
