Notably, with the forthcoming release of his movie Money Back Guarantee, Akram will make his acting debut. He is presently in India where he is actively marketing the film in advance of its global release. Faisal Qureshi directed the motion picture and it is a dark comedy and political satire. The renowned Pakistani cricketer expressed his desire to return to India regardless of whether the occasion presents itself when questioned about his fan base and the affection he has gotten there.

The former Pakistan speedster said that he would love to return to India. He said, “I would love to come to India whenever there is an opportunity. I used to be here for 7-8 months a year. I miss my friends, people and food, most importantly dosa in India. We don’t have it in Pakistan. I will come here soon and see all the places I have been missing for the last few years.”

Wasim Akram also spoke about his favourite player in cricket across the world and give that designation to former Indian captain Virat Kohli. He said, “My favourite Indian cricketer is Virat Kohli. He is an amazing player and best among the cricketers of the current generation. I like his leadership quality as well.”

Virat Kohli, the star Indian batter, is respected across the world for his professionalism as well as his work ethic. In addition to his bat skills, Kohli has inspired every aspiring cricket player in India to pursue a fitness regimen. His appeal isn’t limited to India, either. Ahmed Shehzad, another player from Pakistan who has frequently been likened to Virat Kohli, is a tremendous fan of the former India skipper. Shehzad spoke in the Nadir Ali Podcast, “We share a mutual respect for each other. Whenever I need any advice regarding cricket, he has been kind (to help me out). I really respect him as a player. He has changed himself dramatically. When he burst onto the scene during the U-19 World Cup, he was a bit chubby. But the way he has transformed himself, not just from the cricketing aspect, it is commendable. He took India to new heights in Test cricket. I haven’t seen someone who has adapted so quickly. I feel, his best is yet to come.”
