‘Sachin owning Akhtar even after retirement’ – Fans react as friendly banter between Sachin Tendulkar and Shoaib Akhtar on X ends with Sachin’s victory

The friendly banter between Sachin Tendulkar and Shoaib Akhtar has come to an end on X. The former cricketers had engaged themselves in a banter on X (Formerly known as Twitter). Following the win of India against Pakistan, the banter between the two former cricketers came to an end. It seemed like the former Indian star cricketer emerged victorious in the friendly banter.

It all started when Akhtar posted an image on his X with the caption “Kal agar asa kuch kerna hai, toh #ThandRakh“. The former Pakistan pacer took an indirect jibe on Sachin and asked the Pakistan bowlers to stay calm and perform best against India in the World Cup match. the tweet of Akhtar was posted the day before the match between India and Pakistan.

India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets with 117 balls to spare in the ODI World Cup 2023. Following the big victory of India, Tendulkar took to X and replied to the tweet of Akhtar. “My friend, aap ka advice follow kiya aur sab kuch billlkoool THANDA rakha….” wrote Tendulkar, as he answered the former Pakistan pacer with utmost precision. Tendulkar funnily pulled the legs of Shoaib Akhtar.

Our friendly banter doesn’t change that for sure – Shoaib Akhtar

It was pretty evident that Tendulkar had won the battle. it was the win of India, for which the former Pakistani cricketer had no answers. Accepting his defeat, Shoaib Akhtar wrote “My friend you’re the greatest player of all times to have graced the game and the biggest ambassador of it. Our friendly banter doesn’t change that for sure,” and praised Tendulkar. It was evident that Akhtar had no answers to Tendulkar and India.

Tendulkar acknowledged the tweet of Akhtar and replied, “My best wishes to you and your family.” Fair to say, both Sachin and India had the last laugh in their respective battles. India won the match against Pakistan for the record eighth time in the history of the ODI World Cup. Right from 1992 to now in 2023, Pakistan has failed to overcome India in the biggest cricket stage. The next edition of the battle will be in 2027.
