The star Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player, Tushar Deshpande, who was the standout bowler in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) recently married to Nabha Gaddamwar in a heartwarming ceremony attended by close family and friends. The path to marriage started following the conclusion of the IPL 2023 season with Tushar’s engagement to his long-time “school crush” in a scenic event in Mumbai earlier this year.

After which Tushar even shared a photo on Instagram, capturing the moment of taking wedding vows with his newlywed wife. The right-arm fast bowler played a crucial role in CSK’s successful campaign in the IPL 2023. Deshpande demonstrated his prowess in the team’s magnificent journey. He also made notable contribution in the thrilling final against the defending champions, Gujarat Titans.

With an impressive tally of 21 wickets in 16 matches, he emerged as CSK’s leading wicket-taker and the sixth-highest wicket-taker in the tournament. Earlier, this year another CSK player, Ruturaj Gaikwad opted out from the World Test Championship (WTC) final due to his marriage. Gaikwad married Utkarsha Pawar, who is also a domestic player for Maharashtra.

With an impressive track record across various formats, Deshpande has amassed 80 wickets in 29 first-class games, 35 wickets in 34 List A matches, and 83 wickets in 59 T20Is. His outstanding performance in the IPL 2023 highlighted his dedication and skill on the field. Recognizing the influence of former CSK skipper MS Dhoni, he characterized their relationship as that of a soldier to his commander. Deshpande expressed confidence in Dhoni’s guidance, firmly believing that the legendary captain would always lead him in the right direction.

“You know you have someone who will guide and show the light when things are not going in our favour. He is a selfless guy and keeps things simple. He doesn’t complicate things and will be with you in your bad times. Like a soldier, I will just follow whatever he says. I know he can never take me on a wrong path,” the CSK speedster told Indian Express.
