Rohit Sharma is set to play against Bangladesh in the fourth game of the ODI World Cup 2023. It is an important game for India as they aim to win their fourth game of the tournament on Thursday. Ahead of the big game in Pune, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma found himself on the wrong side of the law. The 36-year-old was issued with three traffic challans for speeding across the Mumbai to Pune expressway.

This violation came just a day before the all-important India versus Bangladesh clash. Both teams will play the game on the back of varying forms during the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 campaign.

Rohit Sharma hit with three traffic challans –

Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma was found to be driving at high speeds while on his way to Pune. The traffic cops hit the Indian skipper with three challans for overspeeding on the Mumbai to Pune expressway.

Rohit Sharma was apparently not using the team bus but going by his own car. The traffic cops advised the Indian skipper to be aware of the rules and regulations. The Indian skipper was also asked why he wasn’t going by the team bus with the ODI World Cup 2023 being played.

Bangladesh began the tournament with a win over Afghanistan in Dharamshala. This was followed by two losses first to England and then to New Zealand. The Bangladeshi team had famously beaten India during the 2007 ODI World Cup.

India, on the other hand, have won all three games of the ODI World Cup 2023 campaign. The tournament began with a win over Australia by six wickets in Chennai. This was followed by a win against Afghanistan by eight wickets in New Delhi.

Rohit Sharma in particular has been in good knick with the bat so far for India. The 36-year-old began with a duck but followed it up with 131 and 86 in the next two games. Rohit’s knock against Pakistan in Ahmedabad won the team the match by 7 wickets with over 19 overs left to play. India will play New Zealand this Sunday in Dharamshala after the game against Bangladesh on Thursday in Pune.
