MS Dhoni has been one of the most successful in IPL history to date and also led CSK to their 5th IPL title last year. However, as all good things come to an end, many people believe that this year’s IPL is going to be MS Dhoni’s last one as a player. While all the fans were preparing for a farewell season for their most-loved Indian captain, he dropped a bombshell on social media which has taken the social media by storm.

MS Dhoni in his recent post on social media revealed that he will be in a new role in this upcoming edition of the IPL. MS Dhoni wrote on Facebook: “Can’t wait for the new season and the new role.” MSD’s new announcement has created a sensation on social media leaving fans speculating.

Change in captaincy or a possible retirement?

There are some strong reports of a potential change in the leadership of CSK for this year. While it is strongly believed that it is MSD’s last season in the IPL, fans are now speculating that CSK will soon announce a new captain for IPL 2024 and MSD will play under him in his last season and will groom the new captain for upcoming seasons.
