Results for India on Day 6 of Commonwealth Games 2022
Team India is placed seventh in the overall standings at Commonwealth Games 2022. With a great total of 18 Medals (which comprise 5 Gold, 6 silver, and 7 Bronze) We shall take a look at how Day 6 unfolded for India.
In the Medal tally, Australia sitss at the top with a whopping 123 medals which include 46 golds, 38 silvers, and 39 bronzes. In second place sit England, who have 103 medals to their name. This consists of 38 gold 27 silver and 28 bronze. Followed by Canada in 3rd place with 57 medals which comprise 16 gold 20 silver and 21 bronze.
As for India, Tejaswin Shankar won a medal in athletics for India at the Commonwealth Games 2022 by getting 3rd place in the men’s high jump final.
Judoka Tulika Maan clinched a silver medal in judo after having lost to Scottland’s Sarah Adlington in the 78 kg+ category final.
In Squash, Sourav Ghosal won against James Willstrop of England to get India the first singles bronze medal in men’s singles.
The Women in Blue cricket team put up a dominating show against Barbados and also reached the semifinals because they clinched the second spot to do so.
The Indian Women’s Hockey team also advanced to the semi-finals after a 3-2 win over Canada.

Athletics – Men’s Discus throw F42-44/61-64 Final
Both Indians finish out of medal contention, with Harrison Walsh of Wales winning the Gold Medal, Dan Greaves (England) winning the Silver, and Aled Davies of Wales winning the Bronze Medal.
Devendra Gahlot (F42) and Devender Kumar (F44) of India have thrown 42.13 (second attempt) and 46.28 (fifth attempt) respectively, with the latter ranking fourth in the standings currently. Aled Davies of Wales leads the contest so far, with a throw of 51.39m.
Swimming – Men’s 1500m Freestyle
India’s Advait Page and Kushagra Rawat finished seventh and eighth in the final with timings of 15:32:36 and 15:42:67 respectively.
Lawn Bowls and Para Lawn Bowls
England wins the match 20-11 and finishes the group as the topper. India and England qualify for the quarterfinals.
England is leading India 18-4 after 11 ends in the Men’s Fours at the moment. Irrespective of whether India wins or loses this match, it is through to the quarterfinals, finishing second in Section C.
