India has won 26 medals at the Commonwealth Games 2022 so far, including nine gold, eight silver, and nine bronze. All six wrestlers in action won medals, with three of them winning gold. India has put up a good show in the Birmingham Games so far. They are placed at 8th position on the medals tally.

Joshna/Dipika lost to Chan/Ampandi (Mas) 0-2; Men’s doubles (round-of-16): Velavan/Abhay bt Kempsell/Clyne (Sco) 2-1.
Deepak Punia wins the Gold Medal in the Men’s Freestyle 86 kg, while Mohit Grewal and Divya Kakran win two Bronze Medals to take India’s medal tally to 26 medals so far in the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham.
Table Tennis – Women’s Singles Quarterfinal – Sreeja Akula 4-3 Mo Zhang (Canada)
Zhang draws level in the sixth set, but the Indian seals the final set 11-8 to win the match 4-3. What a contest this has been so far!
Akula won the fifth set 11-5 and clinched the sixth set 11-8.
Sreeja lost to Mo Zhang in the fourth set 9-11.
Zhang leads in the fourth game as well and might just end the contest with a win here.
In the third game, Canada’s Zhang re-establishes her command in the match, winning it 11-6.
Zhang wins the first game 11-9, but Sreeja makes a comeback in the next game, winning it with a comfortable margin of 11-4.
Squash – Men’s Doubles Round of 16 – Abhay Singh, Velavan Senthilkumar
India wins the third set 11-8 to beat Scotland and enters the quarterfinal.
In the third set, India leads the match 6-5.
Abhay and Velavan steal the winning points to get level in the match with an 11-10 scoreline in their favour in the second game.
Scotland retains its lead eventually going 9-8 up against India.
India loses the first game 8-11 and is trailing the second game by a lone point. The score 3-4 to Scotland at the moment.
