Ravindra Jadeja, recently, put up a picture of Sanjay Manjrekar on social media which had everyone buzzing.

Here is the tweet:

When Hardik Pandya had finished the 1st Asia Cup fixture in style for India with a six, there were celebrations in the Indian camp. The incident after the end of the match also hogged the headlines Sanjay Manjrekar and Ravindra Jadeja came together on television. Sanjay Manjrekar was given the hard task of interviewing Ravindra Jadeja, and everyone was keen to see how it will pan out.

It went on very well as Sanjay Manjrekar asked Ravindra Jadeja whether he was comfortable with being interviewed by him to which Jadeja replied positively.

”Are you ok with me interviewing you Jaddu”, the conversation started in this way, to which Jadeja smiled and replied, ‘yes I have no problem’.

This was the start of an unlikely friendship being sewn between the two as from that point on Sanjay Manjrekar has been more appreciative of the star all-rounder for India and has been talking about his importance in the Indian side. He has also not used harsh words and been more critical of Ravindra Jadeja as he used to be in the past.

Jadeja has been in a bitter feud with Sanjay Manjrekar ever since the 2019 World Cup when he had termed Jadeja as a ‘bits and pieces’ player. Jadeja fumed after the comment had gone viral and he hit back with a tweet by saying “Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played, and I am still playing. Learn to respect people who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhea”.

Right after Jadeja’s whirlwind performance in the 2019 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand, Manjrekar had said, “By bits and pieces of sheer brilliance, he’s ripped me apart on all fronts,” trying to compensate for his earlier comment.

Ever since that controversial comment was made, form has been on the upward curve for Ravindra Jadeja as he has become more threatening with the ball and destructive with the bat. It must also be noted that when Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the 20-20 World Cup this year. Manjrekar said that Ravindra Jadeja will be missed, and it will be a big blow for India.
