Finally, Zoya Akhtar’s directorial movie,The Archies is out on the bigwig OTT platform Netflix. Even prior to the film’s release, the cast and the filmmaker have been creating headlines. All eyes were on the cast as it was the star kids’ debut movie. The netizens were eagerly anticipating watching Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor’s first movie. The teen musical drama premiered on Netflix on December 7 to mixed reviews from audiences and critics.

Since the film’s release, social media has been flooded with posts mocking Suhana, Agastya, and Khushi’s acting performances. Raveena Tandon liked one such post, which shared a scene from ‘The Archies’ starring Agastya and Khushi with the caption, “Acting died here.” The screenshot was shared on the popular Reddit sub-BollyBlindsNGossip.

Trolls target Raveena Tandon:

Netizens chastised the Mohra actress for her behaviour, with the majority of them pointing out that she should not forget that her daughter is also set to make her Bollywood debut soon. Rasha Thadani, Raveena Tandon’s daughter, and Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aaman Devgn, are said to be making their acting debuts together in Abhishek Kapoor’s next film.

“I don’t think her daughter, who is papped every other day, is going to be any better than these kids,” one Reddit user wrote, while another added, “She forgot her daughter will be debuting soon.” Another internet user inquired, “Did her daughter get rejected from The Archies?” Another comment stated, “She is waiting for her extremely mediocre-looking daughter to be launched.”

Returning to ‘The Archies’, the Zoya Akhtar-directed film also stars Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Yuraj Menda, and Aditi ‘Dot’ Saigal. Farhan Akhtar wrote the dialogues for the film, which is set in 1964 in the fictional Indian hill station of Riverdale. The netizens are buzzing with mixed reactions to the newly released movie. Good or bad, ‘The Archies‘ is currently the talk of the town. It will be interesting to see if the veteran Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon addresses these trolls and gives a justification.
