A Superb game-changing performance from Hardik Pandya against arch-rivals Pakistan helped him jump eight spots on the T20I all-rounder rankings, up to fifth position, which is his highest-ever spot.

Elsewhere, Afghanistan’s dominating start in the Asia Cup has made everyone starry-eyed, with a number of players climbing up in the newly published rankings.

Rashid Khan’s hunt for the No.1 bowler position has been helped with a jump of two spots to third place. 708 points, over fellow leg-spinners Adil Rashid and Adam Zampa. Left-arm wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi 716 is very close to Rashid , although Josh Hazlewood 792 is high on the pecking order in the list.

Rashid’s fellow mate Mujeeb Ur Rahman meanwhile has breached the top ten with a seven-spot move up the rankings 660, currently edged out for eighth by Bhuvneshwar Kumar 661, whose 4/26 against Pakistan helped the men in blue emerge victorious.

There were no new entrants in the T20I batting top ten, though there was a push from Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan, who came up to second spot with  796 points to join Babar Azam who has  810 points in the top two. Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai’s innings of 23 (26) and 37 (28) led to a jump of 3 spots upwards, meanwhile, opening partner Rahmanullah Gurbaz has also moved up five places to get to 29th.

There were several shuffles across the other two formats, with Ben Stokes’ role in England’s victory over South Africa giving him a jump in all three Test ranking categories.

The All-Rounder scored a ton and took 2/17 and 2/30, Stokes vaulted up nine spots on the batting rankings to make it to the 18th  place with 668 points, five spots to 38th on the bowling rankings 540, and up to second on the list of all rounders 360. Ravindra Jadeja currently at 384 points holds fort at the top.
