‘Pedh ka patta lag rahi hai’ – Fans react as Pakistan cricket team discloses their official jersey for the ODI World Cup 2023

The Pakistan cricket team jersey for the 2023 ODI World Cup was disclosed by the Pakistan board. The jersey has been designed to give it a cool look as it has a traditional green colour with dark and light green shades printed on it. Fans all over the world reacted to the new launch jersey of Pakistan, as it has the logo and its national flag on the top of it, whereas the right side of the jersey has the World Cup 2023 logo as ICC World Cup 2023 India is written. 

The Men in Green will open their World Cup campaign on October 6 against the Netherlands before taking on Sri Lanka on October 10. Whereas the first game of the 13th edition of the marquee event is set to be played on October 5, the last edition’s runner-ups and champions, New Zealand and England, respectively, will take on each other. 

Pakistan and Sri Lanka are set to host jointly Asia Cup 2023- 

However, before the 50-over WC, the Asia Cup 2023 gets underway on Wednesday in Multan with Pakistan playing Nepal in the first match, but all eyes will be on the historic match between India and Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy. The Tournament is going to be a 50 overs format, where previously the tournament used to hold 20 overs, and fans believe this is a good change as there is a one-day World Cup coming upfront, which will be useful for all the teams. 

The Pakistan cricket team actually outplayed the Afghanistan side in the three-match ODI series by 3-0, apart from the nail-biting second ODI, there was not any resistance shown by the Afghans in the limited-overs series. The Babar Azam-led side cleanly swept with comfort at the R. Premdada Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was a terrific bowling performance by Pakistan, as they clean-bowled the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side for 209 runs while chasing the target of 269 runs.
