Pakistan skipper Babar Azam fined for violating traffic rules in Lahore

In the Asia Cup 2023, barring the game against Nepal, the star batter from Pakistan could not make a huge impact with the bat.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam is not having a great time. In the Asia Cup 2023, barring the game against Nepal, the star batter from Pakistan could not make a huge impact with the bat. As a captain, some of the decisions of Babar were highly questionable. Following the mediocre campaign of Pakistan in the tournament, the fans expressed their disappointment and asked for improvements.

If that was not enough, Pakistan sustained injuries from some of its key players in the tournament like Agha Salman, Imam-Ul-Haq, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah. In a big blow, Pakistan ruled out Naseem Shah from the ODI World Cup 2023 and replaced him with Hasan Ali. Pakistan lost against India and Sri Lanka, two of the big teams in the Asia Cup 2023.

Following Pakistan’s exit from the tournament, a report suggesting a heated dressing room conversation between Shaheen Afridi and Babar became viral. The left-arm pacer was quick to shut the critics by posting a social media post, which confirmed that there was no rift between him and the captain. Babar also attended the reception of Shaheen. Pakistan found it difficult to get visas for India.
