The emotions that Rajkumar Hirani’s characters evoke in viewers have carved out a special place in their hearts for his cinematic universe. He’s one of the few directors who can captivate you with the story with just the telling of the tale. He doesn’t use scenes with a lot of visual effects or loud dialogue.

Rather, he concentrates more on the writing and the dialogue of his characters. Five years later, Hirani returns to theatres with his first picture starring Shah Rukh Khan. These are not the same times. Will a story about illegal immigrants find an audience in a year when action-packed dramas starring big-name actors have found an audience? Let’s investigate.

Storyline: A group of friends relocate to another nation through a backdoor and then face difficulties coming back.

The release of Dunki has been eagerly anticipated by the public. For those who are unaware, Dunki is the first film that Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, the enchanted couple, have ever worked together on.

On December 21, Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Dunki” made its theatrical debut. After five years, renowned director Rajkumar Hirani returns to the big screen. Raju Hirani is credited with introducing a number of beloved films to the Indian film industry. His best works are 3 Idiots, Sanju, Munna Bhai MBBS, and P.K.

Despite his fleeting appearance, Vicky Kaushal is excellent as Sukhi, and thankfully the writers have developed the character. He is capable of being both silent and fierce when called upon. Taapsee Pannu never misses an opportunity to grab it. She delivers the comedic lines with SRK with perfect timing.

Likewise, Anil Grover and Vikram Kochhar, the other members of team Dunki, are outstanding in their respective roles. Shah Rukh portrays both the young and old Hardy with great effect, making great use of his charm. The superstar closes 2023 with a hat-trick, showcasing his everlasting appeal once more.
