Sachin Tendulkar has been an absolute delight for the cricket loving public in India. He is called the God of cricket in India. Tendulkar has been an icon and has dominated World cricket for close to 20 years. The two formats which mainly played during Sachin’s time was Test and ODI cricket. The little master has left an indelible imprint on both of them.Β He was and still is absolutely loved by the fans in India.
Recently, the legendary cricketer did a question-and-answer session on Twitter. It was titled, ‘Ask Sachin’.
There was a plethora of questions that surrounded him. One of the fans asked him who his favourite footballer was.
To that, he chose ‘Lionel Messi’. Notably, Lionel Messi, currently, plays for PSG. The Argentina captain had his moment at the biggest of stages when he captained La Albiceleste to a World Cup title at Qatar in 2022.

The Messi-led side did not have a great start to the World Cup as they lost 2-1 to Saudi Arabia in their first game. But Messi rallied his troops and gave them a memorable campaign to remember. But Messi finally tasted success on the big stage.
Tendulkar has set big records in ODI and Test cricket. In the 50 over format, he has scored 18426 runs. The Mumbaikar has an average of 44.83 and a strike rate of 86.23. He has the highest score of 200 in ODIs.
The star India batter was the first to hit a double century in ODIs. He has scored 49 hundreds and 96 fifties. In the Test arena, Tendulkar made 51 tons to his name. The master blaster racked up 15,921 runs with 68 fifties. The little master has an average of 53.78 in Tests.
Tendulkar is, currently, involved with the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. His son Arjun made his debut for the franchise, recently. Arjun has played for Mumbai and Goa in domestic cricket and is a left-arm fast bowler who can bat in the middle order.
