Not Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan, but a leading Bollywood actress steals 3 spots in top 5 of IMDb’s most anticipated Indian movies of 2024

With at least one film from each major language, the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) has released its list of the most anticipated Indian films for 2024. This emphasises how fiercely the nation’s regional film industries are competing to stay up with Bollywood.

The website claims that the list was created using data from millions of monthly users who viewed IMDb pages all over the world. According to the list, Fighter, helmed by Siddharth Anand, is the most anticipated Indian film of 2024. The main characters in Fighter, which stars Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, and Anil Kapoor, are Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel.

Hrithik Roshan responded, saying, “It’s an extremely positive update that Fighter is the most anticipated Indian movie of 2024 according to IMDb.”Fighter’s trailer and songs have received an incredible amount of support, and on January 25, 2024, we intend to provide our audience with a clean, cinematic experience. Nine Hindi films, five Telugu films, four Tamil films, one Malayalam film, and one Kannada film are among the 20 titles that are listed on IMDb. It’s interesting to note that Deepika Padukone appears in three of the top five films on the list: Kalki 2898 AD directed by Nag Ashwin, Singham Again by Rohit Shetty, and Fighter. In addition, she came in at number three on the newly released IMDb Most Popular Indian Stars of 2023 list.

Four titles on the list—Sukummar’s Pushpa: The Rule, Ahmed Khan’s Welcome to the Jungle, Singham Again, and S Shankar’s Indian 2—are sequels or parts of well-known franchises. The fans are anticipating a year full of blockbusters and big releases this year. After 2023’s entertaining year, the expectations of the audience has only increased.
