In its latest teaser clip, Nvidia has revealed a new GPU line that will be released on January 8. While the series was not announced, many believe that it will be the “super” line-up for the 40 series graphics card.

Nvidia is known to make some of the best GPUs in the market, with others still following behind them. However, gamers believe that the price for their GPUs, especially for the entry range, has not been justified in recent years.

For the upcoming Super series is expected to be a small upgrade to the existing 40 series GPU. The current line-up for the 40 series includes 4060, 4060 Ti, 4070, 4070 Ti, 4080, 4080 Ti, and 4090.

Ti Variant

Ti is generally used for those that are more powerful than the name suggests but falls short compared to the next in like. For example, a 4060 Ti is more powerful than the 4060. However, it is weaker than a 4070. Such is the case with “super” variants, but they are generally more wallet-friendly.

The Super series was not available in the previous 30 series GPUs, similarly the highest GPU variant for this year, 4090 also did not see a Ti variant. Reports suggest the 4090 Ti had an insane power draw and was not viable to be slotted in a regular PC. In a 4090 Ti is announced, we will be as surprised as everyone.

Reports suggest that Nvidia will announce the 4070 Super, 4070 Ti Super, and 4080 Super on January 8 with a price tag similar to the 4070, 4070 Ti, and 4080. We suggest gamers should wait for some time if they are planning to get a new GPU.

The 50 series GPUs are expected to come out next year as Nvidia need to give good enough reason to users to upgrade within a short duration. Gamers usually refrain from upgrading GPU unless extremely necessary.
