Wasim Akram, one of the legendary players from Pakistan, expressed his displeasure over a popular flight company on Twitter on December 14, Wednesday and said that he decided to not travel on the flight in the future. Saying that his flight was cancelled just ten hours prior to the start of his travel, Akram claimed that the company ruined his travel plans.

Akram is one of those known for calling a spade a spade, no matter who it is and it has been the case most of the time. Eventually, angered by the service at Qantas, the former Pakistani cricketer left no stone unturned to slam the company and its customer service.

“@Qantas airline never ever flying with them again they cancelled my flight from Dallas to Melbourne just 10 hours before departure without any reason given. And no help when I called their call centre pathetic service. You guys have messed my trip up. #Quantas #NeverAgain,” Akram wrote on Twitter.

Wasim Akram’s claims autobiography

Akram has been hitting the headlines of late and made some sensational claims in his upcoming autobiography “Sultan: A Memoir” where he revealed his fight with cocaine addiction. Saying that he struggled in the rehab centre, the former Pakistani cricketer claimed that he kept him against his will in the centre.

“In western movies, even in Australia you see rehabs have lovely big lawns, people give lectures, you go to gym. But I went to a place (in Pakistan) with a corridor and eight rooms, that’s it. It was very very tough. It was a horrible time,” Akram was quoted as saying.

“Then a tragedy happened, my wife passed away. I knew I was on the wrong path, I wanted to get out of it. I had two young boys. In Western culture, a dad is involved fifty-fifty (with the mother). You wake up in the morning, drop your child to the school, pick them up, and change clothes. In our culture, as a dad, we never do that. It’s the wife’s turn. Our job is to go out and raise funds. I was lost for two years, I never knew where I had to buy clothes for them,” he added.
