‘NCA mein naahi jaana tha ab recovery ke jagah injury hogi’ – Fans react as Jasprit Bumrah set to start his rehab in Bangalore
India fans will be pleased that Jasprit Bumrah has completed his six-week rest period after his surgery for his back injury. Bumrah had gone to New Zealand for his back surgery. The right- arm pacer missed the 2022 20-20 World Cup due to the injury. Bumrah also missed the 2022 Asia Cup due to the same issue. Bumrah has not played international cricket for a long time.
India have not had the best of times when it comes to their fast-bowling unit. Guys like Deepak Chahar, young guns like Mukesh Choudhary, Moshin Khan, Kuldeep Sen, Yash Dayal have gone through injuries before the start of the IPL. Chahar is sidelined due to hamstring issue for an indefinite period of time. Meanwhile, when it comes to Shreyas Iyer, he is scheduled to undergo back surgery next week.
The 2023 ODI World Cup will be held in India
The star India batter missed the fourth Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The middle order batter also missed the limited overs leg of the New Zealand series which was played in India. The ODI World Cup will be held in India. The last time it was held in the country was in 2011. The Men in Blue will hope to end their world event drought and will look to win the tournament.
The Indian side last won in world event way back in 2013, under the leadership of MS Dhoni. The men in Blue will want taste success come the big tournament. India last lifted the ODI World Cup on home soil in 2011. India will play the Test Championship final at the Oval in England. India will face off against Australia. The final will be played between 7 to 11 June. India lost the last final which was held at Edgbaston in 2021 in England to New Zealand.
The Men in Blue are already without the services of Rishabh Pant who has been sidelined for a long period of time. Pant is currently recuperating from his knee injuries that he suffered in December 2022 when he had the near-fatal car accident.
